As a teenager, Caroline rode hunters and jumpers in the A circuit in Texas. At the age of 14 she moved up from Junior Jumpers to Open Jumpers (4'9"-5' at that time). Caroline competed successfully in shows such as the Pin Oak Charity Show in Open Jumpers, Hunt Seat Medal, and Dressage Medal on horses that she trained.
After graduating from Tulane and marrying her college sweetheart, riding took a back seat for a few years while she worked in medical research. Caroline returned to riding full time in 1995 and, having discovered eventing, made that her focus.
She and her horse Creole have competed successfully through Intermediate. She has trained and retrained horses through Training level for her clients and students. Also, she has competed through Dressage 3rd level on her own horse and others. She still enjoys an occasional Jumper class.
Her diversified past includes galloping racehorses, managing a thoroughbred breeding farm, surgical assistant for equine vets, and work with disabled riders.
Always striving to improve her skills, Caroline works with clinicians, including Sally O'Connor and Karen O'Connor, as well as regularly working with her coach Regis Webb.
Caroline enjoys teaching teenagers and above. She specializes in starting adult riders - beginners through lower level eventing and dressage. She also likes to start young horses and restart older ones.
